What is 42CrMo Seamless Steel Tube
42CrMo seamless steel pipe is a super high strength steel with high strength, toughness and good hardenability.
42CrMo Seamless Steel pipe Uses: Bridges, Automobiles, Pressure Vessels. This kind of steel relies on adjusting the carbon content to improve its mechanical properties. Therefore, according to the carbon content, this kind of steel can be divided into: low carbon steel - carbon content is generally less than 0.25%, such as 10, 20 steel, medium carbon steel - carbon content is generally between 0.25% and 0.60%, such as 35, 45 steel, etc., and high carbon steel - carbon content is generally more than 0.60%. This kind of steel is generally not used to manufacture steel pipes.
No obvious tempering brittleness, small deformation during quenching, high fatigue limit and multiple impact resistance after quenching and tempering, good impact toughness at low temperature, high creep strength and endurance strength at high temperature.
Process specification
Heating
Heating temperature 1150 ~ 1200 ° C, starting temperature 1130 ~ 1180 ° C, termination temperature > 850 ° C, φ > 50mm, slow cooling.
Normalizing
The normalizing temperature is 850~900 °C, and air-cooled out of the furnace.
Tempering
The tempering temperature is 680~700 °C, and air-cooled out of the furnace.
Quenching and tempering
Preheating temperature 680 ~ 700 ° C, quenching temperature 840 ~ 880 ° C, oil cooling, tempering temperature 580 ° C, water or oil cooling, hardness ≤ 217HBW.
Intermediate Temperature Hardening and Toughening Treatment
Quenching temperature 900 ° C, tempering temperature 560 ° C, hardness (37 ± 1) HRC
Induction hardening and tempering
Quenching temperature 900 ° C, tempering temperature 150 ~ 180 ° C, hardness 54 ~ 60HRC.
